What ubrokeit fixes
Apple is where ubrokeit’s precision came from — Gregory spent his first 13 years on nothing but Apple devices. Today the shop works on every major brand, and goes just as deep on all of them.
Laptops
Game consoles
Smartwatches
One thing worth knowing up front: iPhone repairs are usually same-visit. For other brands, ubrokeit orders the exact part for your specific model — usually a day or two — because the right part beats whatever happens to be in a drawer. You’ll hear the honest timing before you commit.
How a repair actually begins
How ubrokeit figures out what your device actually needs
Most shops start with a tool. ubrokeit starts with a conversation — that’s where 15 years of pattern recognition earns its keep. Here’s Gregory on how a repair actually begins:
I’ve been fixing devices in West LA for fifteen years — since before there was a shop on every corner. Thousands of repairs. And the thing that experience buys you shows up before I ever pick up a tool.
The first thing I do is talk to you. Half the time I can tell what happened from the crack pattern alone. Then I listen to the exact words, because the repair you walked in asking for isn’t always the repair you need.
The charging port. Someone says, “I need a new charging port.” I ask what it’s doing. If the answer is “I have to hold the cable at an angle for it to charge,” that’s almost always lint packed into the port — a two-minute cleaning, not a replacement. About $125 turns into about $25. Plenty of shops would clean that port in thirty seconds and bill you for the full replacement anyway. I won’t.
The battery, mistaken for the port. Same opening line — “I need a new port” — but this time the answer is “my battery dies fast.” That’s not the port at all. That’s the battery, and you were about to pay to fix the wrong thing.
The cheap screen. I can drop a $40 LCD into an iPhone that should have an OLED screen. It’ll turn on and work. But the colors are off, it pulls more power, the processor works harder, the battery drains faster, and the phone runs warmer. That $40 screen isn’t a cheaper version of the same repair — it’s a different, worse repair that costs you more down the line. I’ll show you the difference and let you decide with the full picture.
That conversation-first method is the standard every ubrokeit repair is held to — and it’s why people leave knowing what they actually needed, not just what they were sold.
The lifetime warranty
What ubrokeit’s lifetime warranty actually covers
This one gets misunderstood a lot — ubrokeit gets calls saying “I dropped my phone, but you gave me a lifetime warranty.” So here’s exactly what it means, straight from Gregory:
My lifetime warranty covers my work: the repair I did, for as long as you own the device. If a part I installed turns out defective, or the workmanship doesn’t hold, bring it back and I’ll make it right — no charge, no expiration date.
What it doesn’t cover is new damage. A fresh drop, water, misuse, or any other harm to the device after I’ve fixed it — that’s not the repair failing, that’s a new break, and it’s a new repair. No shop and no manufacturer can warranty a device against being broken again; nobody can make a phone you can’t break.
What I can promise is this: the work I do holds. And if it ever doesn’t, it’s on me.
